A Retro Dystopian Adventure Short

The year is 1988.

The governments of the World have collapsed as a result of the fierce VHS Wars.

​

These wars had been both ignited and fueled by the ever-growing mountains of un-rewound rental tapes overtaking storage facilities in all four corners of the world.

​

After the last momentous battle, a new totalitarian authority emerged with the singular purpose of maintaining the Global Peace by employing exactly 76.41 % of the population in massive, fortress-like institutions known as THE REWINDARIES.

This cobbled-together global regime handed out a Nobel Peace prize for the ground-breaking design of a specialized rewinding equipment …..

… which comes with its associated reward system, offering frequent soundbite incentives.
